This policy explains what you confirm when you submit a manuscript to Wrotey, and how we handle it. It is part of our terms of service.
Your rights to the work
When you submit, you confirm that you wrote the manuscript or have permission from whoever holds the rights to submit it. You keep all rights in your work. We use it only to evaluate it.
What you can submit
- One manuscript per submission, in English.
- PDF, DOCX, EPUB or TXT files, up to 10 MB. Every file is checked, and anything that isn’t a genuine document, or contains scripts, macros or embedded programs, is rejected.
- Up to 3 books waiting for judgement at once. A slot frees up when one is completed or declined.
Authorship declaration
You tell us how the book was written — Human, AI or Hybrid — and which tools you used, if any. We record your declaration exactly as you give it. We don’t try to detect or verify authorship, and every manuscript is read the same way.
Submissions are final
Once you confirm a submission, it can’t be edited or withdrawn, so check the details and the file first. We may decline a submission without giving a reason; it then frees up your slot.
How we handle your manuscript
- It is kept in private storage that is never publicly accessible.
- It is opened only by the Wrotey reviewer, only to evaluate it.
- It is never used to train AI models, and never published, quoted or shared.
How long we keep it
The manuscript file is deleted automatically 90 days after your book is completed or declined. Your submission details and published judgement stay on your desk while you have an account. You can ask us to delete everything sooner by writing to hello@wrotey.com from your account’s email address. Please keep your own copy of your manuscript.
